At ISF 2024 in Rotterdam, Solynta's CCO Joost van Regteren joined Seed World Europe Editorial Director Marcel Bruins to discuss the latest developments of Solynta, its first commercial year and the expectations for the coming years.
With over 30 years of experience in the vegetable seed industry, Joost van Regteren shares his thoughts and ambitions for Solynta, and shares the reason why Solynta recently rebranded to 'true potato seed company'. Solynta recently began selling true potato seed in various regions. Van Regteren said the advantage of true potato seeds is that they are stable and much easier to transport than traditional tubers. On top of that, true potato seeds are available year-round.
“Whenever you want to start a crop, start a crop,” he says. “True potato seed is the future.”
